Our origins
The founder of Momentum, Bailey O'Brien, is a stage 4 integrative cancer survivor and former cancer coach. When Bailey decided to dedicate her life to helping people with cancer she found herself seeking community with other like-minded practitioners. What started as a weekly prayer group became a platform for sharing, discussing and refining ideologies and a family of people who have a passion to help people with cancer find healing and wholeness, now known as Momentum.
Why Momentum?
Going back to high school physics, the formula for Momentum (p) is p=mv
- p (momentum) represents influence, productivity, progress, positive change, strength.
- m (mass) is the number of people involved.
- v (velocity) is the speed at which we operate.
The greater the number of people involved and the faster we work together, the greater momentum we will have to provide hope in a dark world, effect positive change in the way cancer is treated and improve the lives and outcomes of people with cancer!
